C.O. Bigelow Premium Shaving Cream with Eucalyptus Oil
Art of Shaving Aftershave Balm with Sandalwood Essential Oils
Edwin Jagger DE89L Double Edge Safety Razor
I just bought the shaving cream tonight and boy oh boy did it make a difference from using Barbasol or that Edge Shave Goop. Unfortunately I haven’t bought a brush yet, but I still managed to work up a thick cushiony lather using my hands and I could really feel the difference while shaving.
Also, the eucalyptus and menthol gives your face a cool tingly sensation that feels great and smells great too.
Maybe its my technique getting better, maybe its the quality shave cream; Maybe its both, but my face feels like it went back in time to a prepubescent stage when not a single hair grew on my chin.
As for the aftershave balm, while I like their products (Plus their name is really catchy), Art of Shaving always seems a bit overpriced but I really really like the scent of their sandalwood products so I figured I’d splurge a little and buy the balm. Overall, I can’t complain. It moisturizes and protects my face after shaving with that wickedly sharp razor, and it makes me smell like a fucking man without being overpowering.
After these last two week of dabbling in the ‘art of shaving’ I’d have to compare this to switching from dousing yourself in AXE and BOD in Middle School/High School to using an actual manly fucking cologne. Or finally learning how to drive a manual. Yea that’s it. Also I can’t stop rubbing my face. It’s so smooth and it smells amazing.
